Microsoft introduces great improvements in Windows Diagnostic Data Viewer using Insider build 17704. First of all, they present a brief of the role of this tool on the completion of one year. Microsoft analyzes and understands what diagnostic data is received from your Windows device. Open for everyone through the Microsoft Store, the tool gives you full transparency.

We reported last week that the Fast Ring and Skip Ahead Insiders weren't getting a new Windows 10 Redstone 5 Preview build because of a nasty bug. If shipped out, it could have stopped the people from logging in after installing the new update. It appears Microsoft has finally fixed the bugs as the company has just released a fresh new Preview Build to Insiders in the Fast Ring and Skip Ahead.

Sets was initially supposed to work with Universal Windows Platform (UWP) applications only and brought the much anticipated tabbed File Explorer to its insiders as part of the Insider Preview Build 17618, allowing easy switching between Pictures, Documents and other folders. Not only that, it also went on to support Win32 applications like Notepad and Command Prompt with continued development for the feature until it pulled the plug soon after in its Insider Preview Build 17704 (Redstone 5).

The latest Insider build also removes a major new feature called Sets, with the promise it will return in the future in an improved form. Sets will mark quite a departure for Windows , introducing the concept of tabbed windows. The feature will allow users to group together related apps, documents, files and websites into separate tabs in a single desktop window. By doing so, users will be able to group together everything related to a specific task inside one window, regardless of whether that content is an Office document or a website.

Microsoft also revealed it is adding a new Windows image to its Windows Server container collection. This new image is addition to the existing Nano Server and Windows Server Core images. The Windows image is available to try for those running a container host on Windows Insider build 17704.

Microsoft first announced Screen Sketch with Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17704 back in June. The app is meant to replace the Snipping Tool as the primary screen capturing option for Windows 10 users, offering all the currently available Snipping Tool functionalities, along with additional improvements.

Microsoft today released a new preview for PCs with improvements to Edge, Skype, Diagnostic Data Viewer, video, typing insights, font, security, Task Manager, accessibility, container, and mixed reality. This build is from the RS5 branch, which represents the Windows 10 update the company plans to release later this year.

The Snipping Tool is the screen capture utility included with Windows 10. However, the 17661 build preview showed off new screen capture utilities. That preview highlighted the snipping utility might be on its way out. Now Microsoft has confirmed in the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17704 that it will remove the Snipping Tool with a future update. 2ff7e9595c
